 Our Dogs
Fawnie is the older of the two dogs. She's five years old now. Being 1/4 Golden Retriever, 1/4 Lab and 1/2 German Shepard, she's an excellent guard dog yet loves both her Mommy and her Daddy equally. Her favorite thing to do is sleep under Daddy Jason's bed where Meira can't get a hold of her. When approaching someone she loves, she keeps her head down as a sign of submission while "peeking" up to see how excited they are to see her.
Even though she's very slender (to the point of being skinny), this adds a lovely dose of speed to her daily routine. When playing with Meira, Fawn does all the barking and growling for both of them and easily outruns her sister. Fawn will eat anything but her favorite "human food" treat is ice cream. The worst habit Fawn has is begging at the table, which Papa encourages. Daddy and I can't seem to break Papa of this naughty habit. Fawn's nickname is Miss Fo, but you'll have to ask Jason why.
Meira is the middle child of the family. On May 29th, she'll be four years old. She's half Siberian Husky, one fourth German Shepard, and one forth Lab. The mix of dogs makes her stubborn as heck, snuggly, and an incredibly loud barker. Letting this doggy loose in the house garentees SOMETHING will be chewed up by the time you think to look in her direction.
Her favorite place to be is in her cage, to which she retreats to when she's had enough of the human folks, as rare as that is. Happily, she'll romp and play in the winter, but in the summer you'd never meet a more miserably pup. If there is one thing in this world that Meira hates it is heat. Mommy readily agrees. ;) Meira's nickname is "Wall" (Mirror mirror on the wall...).
This little puppy boy is completely 100% German Shephard. His birthday is December 6, 2006 and Melissa got him January 24, 2007 at 7 weeks of age. Her mother got Dom's brother Zachary on the same day and they are still best of friends.
Dominic is a sweet dog, a little head strong, and incredibly loyal. He's also fairly vocal. His favorite toy is a blue stuffed rabbit whose squeek got broken, but for some reason he still loves to cuddle it.
